Stop Thinking Like a Marketer. Start Thinking Like a Host.

Why relationship-building beats selling every time
Marketing isn’t broken.It’s just misaligned.
Because somewhere along the way, we stopped thinking about people—and started thinking about funnels, impressions, and conversion rates.
Here’s what I believe (and what I wrote about in No One Needs Another Company Mug):
Your job isn’t to market. Your job is to host.
Imagine your customer isn’t a data point—they’re a guest at your dinner party. How would that change the way you prepare for them? How would you greet them, listen to them, serve them?
Here’s the difference:

If you’ve ever walked into a boutique and been handed a glass of champagne—that’s hosting.
If you’ve ever been welcomed into a business like an old friend—that’s hosting.
If you’ve ever had someone remember your name, your story, or your preferences—that’s hosting.
When you adopt the mindset of a host, your marketing becomes human. And human is what people respond to.
So the next time you're planning a campaign, a pitch, or even a social post, ask yourself:
Is this a broadcast… or is this an invitation to belong?
